We are seeking a meticulous and organized Receiving Clerk to join our dynamic warehouse team in Raleigh, North Carolina. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for the accurate and efficient processing of incoming goods, ensuring that all shipments are received, inspected, and documented properly. Your attention to detail will be paramount in maintaining the integrity of our inventory and supporting smooth warehouse operations. You will work closely with vendors, carriers, and internal departments to resolve any discrepancies and ensure timely flow of materials. A strong understanding of warehouse **logistics** is beneficial. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and adhere to all company **safety** protocols, including the proper use of **PPE** (Personal Protective Equipment). This position involves moderate **lifting** and requires the ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments.
- Verify packing slips against purchase orders for accuracy.
- Document all received goods in the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Identify and report any damaged or missing items.
- Stage received goods for put-away or further processing.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Collaborate with vendors and carriers to resolve delivery issues.
- Adhere to all **safety** guidelines and company policies, including the mandatory use of **PPE**.
- Assist with inventory counts and audits as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support warehouse operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in receiving or warehouse operations preferred.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills and data entry.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to **lift** up to 50 pounds.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to workplace **safety**.
