We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Picker/Packer to join our dynamic logistics team in Chicago, Illinois. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately picking orders and preparing them for shipment. This is a critical position within our warehouse operations, ensuring our customers receive the correct items in a timely manner. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You will be working with a variety of products, so adaptability is key. Our team prioritizes safety and efficiency, and we are committed to providing a supportive and collaborative work atmosphere. You will be trained on our state-of-the-art picking and packing systems. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick and pack customer orders using RF scanners or pick lists.
- Verify product codes and quantities against order requirements.
- Ensure all items are packaged securely and appropriately to prevent damage during transit.
- Label packages accurately for shipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation as needed.
- Meet daily productivity and accuracy goals.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth warehouse operations.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or picking/packing role is a plus.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and inventory management.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Commitment to safety protocols and procedures.
