Our Des Moines, Iowa facility is seeking a motivated Order Picker to join our warehouse team. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for accurately retrieving products from warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders. This role is fundamental to our **Logistics** operations, ensuring that our customers receive the correct items in a timely manner. You will use order forms and potentially scanning devices to locate and select items, requiring a sharp eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy. Maintaining a clean and organized work area is essential for efficiency and **Safety**. The job involves **Lifting** and moving of products, so physical capability is important. Consistent use of provided **PPE** is mandatory to ensure your well-being in the workplace. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick specified items from warehouse inventory.
- Verify picked items against order slips and documentation.
- Handle products with care to prevent damage.
- Transport picked items to the staging and shipping areas.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and **Safety**-conscious work environment.
- Adhere strictly to all company **Safety** policies and procedures.
- Wear and utilize all required **PPE** correctly.
- Report any inventory discrepancies or issues promptly.
- Perform **Lifting** of products weighing up to 40 pounds.
- Support efficient **Logistics** workflow and order fulfillment.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as an Order Picker is an advantage.
- Ability to read and interpret pick lists accurately.
- Strong attention to detail is critical for order accuracy.
- Physical ability to **Lift**, carry, and move merchandise.
- Commitment to upholding **Safety** standards.
- Willingness to wear **PPE** as required.
- Basic understanding of warehouse **Logistics**.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
