About
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Material Handler to join our dynamic logistics team in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The Material Handler will be responsible for a variety of tasks including receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and staging orders for delivery, and maintaining inventory accuracy. This role is critical to the efficient operation of our warehouse and ensuring timely fulfillment of customer orders. You will work closely with the warehouse supervisor and other team members to maintain a smooth workflow and uphold high standards of productivity and safety. The ideal candidate will have experience in a warehouse environment and a strong understanding of material handling principles. We are committed to providing a safe and productive work environment, emphasizing the importance of proper training and adherence to all safety protocols. Responsibilities:
- Loading and unloading of freight.
- Moving materials from receiving to storage or to production areas.
- Operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Picking, packing, and shipping orders accurately.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
- Performing inventory counts and checks.
- Adhering to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assisting with other warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling role preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems is a plus.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Commitment to workplace safety and the use of PPE.
