About
We are hiring enthusiastic Picker/Packers for our Omaha, Nebraska location. This role is essential for ensuring the timely and accurate fulfillment of customer orders. You will be responsible for locating items in our warehouse, preparing them for shipment, and maintaining high standards of accuracy and efficiency. Your work directly impacts customer satisfaction and the smooth operation of our logistics network. We maintain a strong focus on workplace safety, requiring all employees to adhere to safety regulations and utilize appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This position involves consistent physical activity, including walking, reaching, and occasional Lifting, in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse inventory based on customer orders.
- Pack items securely and efficiently for shipment, ensuring product integrity.
- Use RF scanners to track inventory movement and order status.
- Verify order details and product information before packing.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
- Assist with receiving and stocking duties as assigned.
- Meet daily picking and packing targets.
- Operate basic warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks.
- Report any issues or discrepancies to supervisors promptly.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a picker/packer or in a similar warehouse role is beneficial.
- Ability to stand, walk, and move for extended periods.
- Capacity for frequent bending, reaching, and Lifting of items up to 40 lbs.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Understanding of warehouse operations and logistics concepts.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Willingness to strictly follow all safety guidelines and wear required PPE.
- Basic computer proficiency for using scanning devices.
