Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Material Handler to join our dynamic logistics team in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to the movement, organization, and preparation of materials within our warehouse. Your primary goal will be to ensure the efficient flow of goods, contributing directly to the success of our supply chain operations. This position requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and a strong commitment to safety. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment and be comfortable working with various types of equipment.
Responsibilities:
  • Receive, unload, and inspect incoming materials and shipments.
  • Store materials in designated warehouse locations, ensuring proper organization and stock rotation.
  • Pick and pack orders accurately based on picking lists and shipping documentation.
  • Operate material handling equipment, such as pallet jacks and forklifts, safely and efficiently (certification may be required or provided).
  • Load outgoing shipments onto trucks, ensuring secure and proper packaging.
  • Conduct regular inventory checks and assist with cycle counts.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all safety regulations.
  • Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned, contributing to overall team productivity.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, especially those related to safety and operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience as a material handler, warehouse worker, or in a similar role is preferred.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Familiarity with warehouse operations and inventory management systems.
  • Strong understanding of safety protocols and the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic math and reading comprehension skills.
  • Experience operating forklifts or other heavy machinery is a plus.
