About
We are hiring experienced Forklift Operators for our busy distribution center in Indianapolis, Indiana. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting inventory. Your role is critical in ensuring the smooth flow of goods within the warehouse and maintaining optimal storage utilization. We are looking for individuals with a proven track record of safe operation and a strong understanding of warehouse logistics. This role requires precision, vigilance, and a commitment to upholding the highest safety standards. You will operate various types of forklifts, making sure materials are moved correctly and efficiently to their designated locations. Your expertise will be key to our operational success and the safety of our team.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to transport materials throughout the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing of loads.
- Move inventory to and from designated storage areas.
- Stack and arrange goods in a safe and organized manner.
- Conduct pre-operation inspections of forklifts and report any issues.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
- Understand and contribute to efficient logistics operations.
- Be prepared for tasks that may involve significant Lifting of materials.
- Uphold rigorous Safety standards in all operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification and proven experience.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and spatial awareness.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
