Join our vibrant logistics team in San Francisco, California, as a Material Handler. This position is key to ensuring the smooth flow of materials throughout our warehouse. You will be responsible for operating various types of equipment to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Safety and efficiency are paramount. This role requires a strong understanding of material handling equipment, safe operating procedures, and a commitment to maintaining an organized and hazard-free work environment. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Move materials to and from production, storage, and shipping areas.
- Stack and stage materials properly, ensuring stability and accessibility.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment and report any maintenance needs.
- Assist with inventory control, including counting and verifying materials.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Wear required PPE at all times while operating equipment or in designated areas.
- Follow all company policies and procedures related to warehouse operations and logistics.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely movement of goods.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience operating forklifts and other material handling equipment (certification preferred).
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 60 pounds.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse safety regulations and best practices for material handling.
- Familiarity with logistics operations.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Commitment to wearing PPE and following all safety guidelines.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Reliability and punctuality.
