About
Our Charlotte, North Carolina distribution center is looking for a meticulous Receiving Clerk to join our logistics team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for incoming shipments, responsible for accurately documenting, inspecting, and organizing all received goods. Your attention to detail is paramount as you verify incoming quantities against purchase orders, identify any discrepancies or damages, and ensure that all products are correctly logged into our inventory system. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to maintaining accurate records. You will work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with shipping departments and other warehouse personnel to ensure a seamless flow of inventory. Prior experience in receiving, inventory control, or a similar warehouse role is highly desirable. We emphasize a safe working environment, and adherence to all safety procedures, including the proper use of PPE, is mandatory. This position requires the ability to stand for extended periods and perform moderate lifting. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect all incoming shipments.
- Verify quantities and product information against purchase orders and shipping manifests.
- Document all received items accurately in the inventory management system.
- Identify and report any damages, shortages, or discrepancies to management.
- Organize and stage received goods for put-away or further processing.
- Maintain a clean and safe receiving area, adhering to all logistics and safety protocols.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks as needed.
- Assist with inventory control procedures and cycle counts.
- Follow all company safety guidelines and wear appropriate PPE.
- Perform tasks requiring lifting of up to 40 lbs.
