About

Overview
The HSSE Manager will lead all aspects of Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental compliance across the company. This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing safety programs, field training, jobsite audits, compliance documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives. The HSSE Manager will partner closely with field leadership, project managers, and executive leadership to drive a proactive safety culture.

Responsibilities

Health & Safety

  • Develop, implement, and maintain the company's safety management system and policies
  • Conduct routine jobsite visits and audits to ensure compliance with OSHA and company standards
  • Lead incident investigations, root-cause analyses, and corrective actions
  • Manage safety onboarding for new hires, including PPE requirements and SOPs
  • Deliver toolbox talks, training sessions, and certifications (e.g., fall protection, forklift, first aid)

Security

  • Oversee jobsite security practices, including equipment locking, access control, and theft prevention
  • Ensure proper reporting and documentation of security incidents
  • Support development of companywide security risk mitigation strategies

Environmental

  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations (EPA, state/local requirements)
  • Oversee waste disposal documentation, rooftop debris management, and recycling initiatives
  • Manage stormwater, chemical storage, and hazardous materials handling procedures

Documentation & Compliance

  • Maintain OSHA logs, safety records, SDS documentation, and compliance files
  • Monitor subcontractor safety compliance and qualification
  • Track leading and lagging safety indicators; provide monthly reporting to leadership

Qualifications

  • 3–5+ years of safety experience (construction or roofing preferred but not required)
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA 1926 standards and construction safety best practices
  • Relevant certifications preferred (OSHA 30, CHST, STSC, etc.)
  • Ability to lead training, communicate clearly, and build strong field relationships
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to jobsites regularly

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $70,000.00 per year
