Maintenance Technician

Maintenance Technician/Handyman - Blueridge Restaurant Group

We are seeking a hardworking experienced handyman that is looking to join a stable growing restaurant group where his or her skills will be utilized and appreciated. This position is available on a part-time or full-time basis.

Blueridge Restaurant Group is a from scratch upscale-casual restaurant concept that currently operates seven restaurants throughout Maryland. Counties include: Howard, Montgomery, Prince George's, Anne Arundel, and Baltimore.

Each restaurant offers an open-air kitchen, a polished casual ambiance, top notch service, and understandable American cuisine that simply tastes great.

Blueridge Restaurant Group is looking for a maintenance technician that can carry out work with limited or no supervision at each of our locations. Must be a problem solver with high standards of workmanship and excellent customer service skill.

Responsibilities include:

• Ensuring work is completed quickly, efficiently and professionally.
• Performing basic troubleshooting and maintenance tasks
• Light electrical (repairing or replacing fixtures, switches, and outlets)
• Light plumbing (replacing valves, faucets, and drains, clearing clogged drains)
• Carpentry and sheetrock repair – including repairing or replacing doors and windows, plastering damaged sheetrock, repairing cabinets, trim and other woodwork.
• Staining and painting
• Minor appliance repairs (stoves, refrigerators, etc.)
• Performs other duties under supervisor's direction as needed.
• Basic HVAC work as needed
• Incorporates safety protocols while performing all job duties.
• Keeps work area clean and behaves professionally while performing all duties on site.

Qualifications

• General maintenance and repair knowledge
• Minimum of 3 years' experience
• Reliable and able to complete work in a timely and professional manner
• Must own reliable transportation to move around to various restaurants through the Maryland area
• Willingness to do service emergency calls or perform work at night (infrequent)
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Ability to use laptop, email and work order management softward.
