Material Handler - 3rd Shift

POSITION SUMMARY:

• Transport and maintain products in the warehouse.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Drive forklift to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move materials.
• Deliver raw materials to all areas of plant.
• Store and weigh finished goods in warehouse from all departments.
• Organize products in warehouse.
• Keep an accurate count of the inventory.
• Supply workers with materials as needed.
• Clean warehouse as needed.
• Load and unload trucks.
• Pick a variety of products from warehouse and stage them for customer orders.
• Read and interpret documents (safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions & procedure manuals).
• Fill out routine reports and communicate effectively.
• Compute rate, ratio, and percent and draw and interpret bar graphs.
• Utilize common sense to understand and carry out detailed but non-complex written and/or oral instructions.
• Use basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide, units of measurement, whole numbers, common fractions, & decimals).
• Be a problem solver.
• Be a team player and help others when asked or needed.
• Communicate in a positive, timely, and accurate manner.
• Be Dependable- be on time every day and do as requested.
• Must use all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for this position as indicated on the Job Assessment PPE form.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School diploma or general education degree (GED) and one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

SPECIALIZED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Barcoding experience preferred.
• A record of good attendance is preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be able to stand for long periods of time; use hands to handle objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, and/or crouch.
• Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Must have close, distance, color, & peripheral vision abilities along with depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
