Position Overview

The Program Director will provide leadership, oversight, and day-to-day management of all Spring Forward programs, while also handling administrative responsibilities. This role combines hands-on program delivery with strategic planning, staff management, and community engagement.

Key Responsibilities

Program Leadership & Operations

  • Plan, develop, and implement after-school, intersession, and summer programs.
  • Oversee program staff and support their professional development.
  • Maintain program quality and ensure adherence to Spring Forward standards.
  • Develop and update curriculum, lesson plans, and activity schedules.
  • Manage participant registrations accurately and efficiently.
  • Coordinate supplies, resources, and materials needed for programs.
  • Support the creation of new program initiatives to enhance offerings.

Community & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with families, school personnel, and community partners.
  • Identify new community partners to enhance program offerings.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with all stakeholders at all times.

Administration & Operations Support

  • Perform administrative tasks as assigned, including reporting and documentation.
  • Assist with marketing, communications, and promotion of programs, events, and fundraising initiatives.
  • Support planning and execution of special events and program milestones.
  • Attend all program-related meetings punctually and actively participate.
  • Ensure completion of tasks in alignment with workplan deadlines.

Team & Staff Development

  • Supervise program staff as needed, providing guidance, feedback, and support.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development opportunities.
  • Approve timecards.

Other Duties

  • Uphold all policies and procedures as outlined in the Spring Forward Employee Handbook.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the organization's mission.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Strong proficiency with Google Workspace and Canva.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Positive attitude, initiative, and adaptability to change.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, energetic, and dynamic environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
