Leasing Consultant

Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Leasing Agent to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for facilitating the leasing process of residential properties, ensuring a positive experience for potential tenants while adhering to Fair Housing regulations. This role requires strong customer service skills, the ability to negotiate effectively, and a solid understanding of property leasing practices.

Duties

• Assist prospective tenants in finding suitable rental properties that meet their needs and preferences.
• Conduct property tours, highlighting features and benefits to encourage leasing decisions.
• Manage the application process, including data entry and administrative tasks related to tenant screening.
• Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations throughout the leasing process..
• Maintain accurate records of all leasing activities and tenant interactions using Appfolio.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
• Promote available properties through upselling techniques and effective marketing strategies.
• Collaborate with property management teams to ensure smooth operations and tenant satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in customer service, preferably in a real estate or property management setting.
• Familiarity with Student housing programs and Fair Housing regulations is highly desirable.
• Proficient in data entry and administrative tasks, with attention to detail in record keeping.
• Knowledge of legal administrative processes related to property leasing is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with clients and team members.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Schedule adjusts-
Regular winter hours - Monday - Friday. 8:45am-5:15pm,
Spring and Summer. Saturdays during busy spring/summer
Mandatory Turn dates over the summer

40 hours PTO annually and 11 Paid Holidays
(Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veteran's Day, Thanksgiving Day, Day After Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Day)
