About
The story so far:
Foundation Health is already powering major healthcare organisations. Helping them automate pharmacy communications, support patients on complex therapies and remove friction from critical healthcare workflows.
The platform is live, trusted and growing - but we're at an inflection point.
We've recently raised $20m at Series-A, and we're accelerating all things product development, as we build what's next.
You'll help us transition away from the 'start-up' tag, into more of a 'scale-up'. Defining engineering processes and putting more structure in place, so we can scale our platforms with ease.
This is where you come in.
The role you'd play:
This isn't a role where you'll come in with a really narrow focus, becoming a specialist with one specific feature and disappear. Instead, you'll be part of a high-calibre team, with the freedom to shape large parts of the platform.
You'll join as a Full-Stack Engineer, but you'll probably spend most of your time on the back-end. Designing and building services in with TypeScript, running on a modern, cloud-native setup in GCP - leaning on Svelte on the front-end.
There are no design gatekeepers here. If you have a better idea, you're expected to bring it. If something should be rethought, you'll have the space to do it properly.
You'll see things from end-to-end: from early design conversations, through implementation and infrastructure, to real-world usage by healthcare teams and patients.
A word on AI
We're introducing more AI-led features into the platform, particularly around AI-driven process automation. This isn't an AI research role, and we're not looking for specialists - it's still software engineering at its core.
But if you're curious about AI and want to apply it in practical, production-grade ways, you'll get hands-on experience working with tools like OpenAI, Langfuse and GCP Vertex AI SDKs - building features that solve real operational problems.
Think applied AI , not buzzwords.
The kind of Engineer who thrives here
This role suits someone who enjoys ownership. Someone who's comfortable being accountable for what they build - not just that it works today, but that it's reliable, scalable, compliant and cost-effective tomorrow.
You'll probably have strong opinions, but you're pragmatic. You care about good engineering, but you care even more about building the right thing. You like working with other Engineers who challenge you.
If you've ever been frustrated by layers of approval, rigid processes, or inheriting years of technical debt - this will feel refreshingly different.
Why now?
You'll be joining at a moment where the platform is already proven, but the future is still wide open.
There's no legacy estate to maintain, no decades-old codebase to unravel. Instead, there's greenfield work, a modern tech stack, and the rare chance to help define what "good engineering" looks like for a company on a strong growth trajectory.
