Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Kitchen Manager to oversee daily operations in a fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, culinary expertise, and a comprehensive understanding of food safety and management principles. This role involves managing kitchen staff, ensuring high-quality food preparation, maintaining inventory control, and delivering exceptional customer service. The Kitchen Manager will play a pivotal role in maintaining operational excellence across casual dining, quick service, or fine dining settings.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate all kitchen activities, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure quality standards are met.
- Oversee inventory control, including ordering supplies, managing stock levels, and minimizing waste.
- Manage POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing and cash handling procedures.
- Train, develop, and supervise kitchen staff to ensure adherence to food safety standards, sanitation protocols, and company policies.
- Oversee shift management by scheduling staff efficiently to meet customer demand while controlling labor costs.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations related to food handling, storage, and sanitation.
- Monitor food production processes to maintain consistency in taste and presentation.
- Handle customer inquiries or complaints professionally to uphold high service standards.
- Assist in budgeting and cost control initiatives to optimize profitability.
- Participate in interviewing and hiring new team members to build a skilled workforce.
Requirements
- Proven experience in food service management within casual dining, quick service, or fine dining environments.
- Strong background in culinary arts with knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards.
- Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS; cash handling skills required.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with previous supervising or management experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting.
- Excellent team management abilities including training & development, shift management, and staff supervision.
- Knowledge of inventory control, budgeting, and food production processes.
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to resolve issues efficiently.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Pay: $48, $56,448.00 per year
