The qualified Project Superintendent will be on-site full-time and will be responsible for the day-to-day direct oversight in the field. These activities include coordinating all field activities with respect to all subcontractors, materials, equipment, safety, quality, schedule adherence and inspections. This position is in Wilmington, NC; local candidates and travelers are encouraged to apply.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and supervise all construction activities on-site to ensure the project stays on schedule and within budget.
  • Direct and manage subcontractors, ensuring their work meets quality standards, safety requirements, and project timelines.
  • Monitor construction processes to guarantee work is completed according to design specifications, codes, and standards.
  • Enforce compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies, conducting regular safety meetings and inspections.
  • Serve as the primary on-site liaison between project managers, architects, engineers, trade partners, and clients, providing regular updates and resolving on-site issues.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including daily logs, RFIs (Requests for Information), submittals, change orders, inspection reports, and progress photos; submit regular reports to the project manager and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • College degree in relevant industry or equivalent work experience
  • 10+ years' experience in the construction industry
  • Ability to read and understand prints
  • Advanced level of experience in construction industry software
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
