About
Wanted Kennel Assistant to join our team in Spokane, WA.

Wanna break into the veterinary field but haven't had a chance yet. Well this entry level position may be great for you. People with backgrounds in shelter, boarding and grooming do the best in our experience but any professional animal experience can help.
Lets be clear right up front this is a cleaning, housekeeping, and stocking position. As you master those skills we will train for restraint of patients and more but first we need to have these skills mastered.
Kennel Assistants must be comfortable with bodily fluids from animals, cleaning, handling biohazards material, hard working and able to learn quickly.
Kennel assistants learn to :
clean wrap and sterilize surgical packs
prep operating room
prep dental prophy areas
clean and wrap surgical drapes, towels, instruments etc
of laundry
clean up after patients
you get the idea? In time we like to teach you to restrain for patient care procedures and help prep patients but that is not until other tasks are mastered.

Pay does Depend on Experience, Probation period in effect.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $ $17.50 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
