Certified Nursing Assistant

Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated caregiver, Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care in various settings, including hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and home care environments. As a CNA, you will play a crucial role in supporting patients with daily activities, ensuring their comfort and safety while adhering to established healthcare protocols.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding.
• Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
• Provide basic medical care under the supervision of nursing staff, including catheter care and medication administration.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation and patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Support patients with mobility using equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Engage with patients to provide emotional support and companionship, particularly for those with dementia or Alzheimer's disease.
• Ensure cleanliness and safety of the patient environment by adhering to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
• Assist in emergency situations by providing basic life support as needed.

Experience
Candidates should possess experience in one or more of the following areas:

• Long-term care experience or assisted living environments.
• Hospital experience including critical care settings such as ICU or PICU.
• Working with individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral health needs.
• Experience in geriatrics, hospice care, or senior care settings.
• Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner for efficient medical documentation.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and vital signs monitoring.
