Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated caregiver, Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care in various settings, including hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and home care environments. As a CNA, you will play a crucial role in supporting patients with daily activities, ensuring their comfort and safety while adhering to established healthcare protocols.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Provide basic medical care under the supervision of nursing staff, including catheter care and medication administration.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Support patients with mobility using equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Engage with patients to provide emotional support and companionship, particularly for those with dementia or Alzheimer's disease.
- Ensure cleanliness and safety of the patient environment by adhering to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
- Assist in emergency situations by providing basic life support as needed.
Experience
Candidates should possess experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Long-term care experience or assisted living environments.
- Hospital experience including critical care settings such as ICU or PICU.
- Working with individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral health needs.
- Experience in geriatrics, hospice care, or senior care settings.
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner for efficient medical documentation.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and vital signs monitoring.
