About
A Certified Nursing Assistant will provide essential care and support to residents, assisting them with daily activities and ensuring their comfort and well-being. This role requires a nurturing attitude, excellent communication skills, and ability to work effectively within a healthcare team.
Schedule: Full-time, NOC Shift (10pm-6am)
Primary Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Help residents with mobility, transferring, and positioning to ensure their safety and comfort.
- Monitor residents' vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the nursing staff.
- Serve meals and assist residents with eating as needed, ensuring proper nutrition and hydration.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, fostering a caring and supportive environment.
- Assist with implementing individualized care plans under the direction of licensed nursing staff.
- Maintain a clean and organized environment in resident room and common areas.
- Follow infection control procedures and maintain a sanitary environment to prevent the spread of illness.
- Respond to resident calls and requests promptly and courteously.
- Document care provided and observation accurately in residents' medical records.
- Perform all other duties assigned.
Job Qualifications:
- CNA License required
- At least 1 year of experience as a nurse assistant preferred.
- CPR certification preferred.
- Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility or long-term care setting preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Commitment to upholding ethical standards and maintaining resident confidentiality.
- Ability to build rapport with residents through a compassionate and caring demeanor.

Physical Requirements:
- Work performed in a medical setting due to the need to work directly with residents.
- Must be able to sit, stand, bend, reach, talk, hear, stoop, kneel, crouch, stretch, twist, use hands and fingers, handle or operate objects, equipment, or controls.
- Stamina to stand and move about the facility to perform frequent rounds and respond to emergent situations as needed.
- Emotional resilience and ability to cope with the physical and emotional demands of working with residents who may have complex healthcare needs.
