Truck Driver

Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating commercial vehicles to transport freight and goods across various routes. This role requires a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and professionalism, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining compliance with all transportation regulations.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate trucks for local or long-distance freight deliveries, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
• Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment as needed
• Inspect vehicles regularly to ensure proper functioning and report any mechanical issues promptly
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance logs
• Assist with minor automotive repairs or troubleshooting when necessary to ensure vehicle readiness
• Coordinate with dispatchers and warehouse staff to optimize delivery schedules and routes
• Follow company safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents or injuries during transportation activities

Experience

• Proven experience in commercial driving, preferably with freight or logistics companies
• Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record
• Experience operating forklifts or other heavy equipment is a plus
• Knowledge of automotive repair basics is desirable to assist with vehicle maintenance
• Familiarity with freight handling procedures and safety standards in transportation environments
• Prior experience in heavy equipment operation is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided as needed

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $18.35-$31.43 per hour

Expected hours: 55 per week
