Senior Logistics Manager

Overview
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Logistics Manager to oversee and optimize our supply chain operations. This role is critical in ensuring efficient warehouse distribution, transportation management, and procurement processes. The ideal candidate will possess strong data analysis skills and extensive experience with ERP systems, warehouse management systems, and process improvement initiatives. As a key leader within our logistics team, you will drive operational excellence across shipping & receiving, order fulfillment, materials management, and sourcing activities to support our e-commerce and retail channels.

Duties

• Lead and coordinate warehouse distribution, shipping & receiving, and order picking operations to ensure timely delivery and accuracy.
• Manage procurement activities including sourcing, purchasing, and pricing negotiations to optimize costs and supplier relationships.
• Oversee transportation management systems (TMS), freight logistics, 3PL partnerships, and demand planning to streamline delivery schedules.
• Implement process improvements leveraging data analysis skills to enhance efficiency in warehouse operations, materials management, and packaging.
• Utilize warehouse management system (WMS), ERP systems such as AS400, and CMMS tools to monitor inventory levels, order fulfillment, and maintenance activities.
• Develop strategies for sourcing materials and managing procurement workflows aligned with supply chain objectives.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards related to forklift operation, order picking, and warehouse safety protocols.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including procurement, IT, customer service, and production to optimize overall supply chain performance.

Requirements

• Proven experience in supply chain management with a focus on warehouse distribution, procurement, and logistics coordination.
• Strong knowledge of transportation management systems (TMS), warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP platforms like AS400 or similar systems.
• Demonstrated ability in process improvement initiatives utilizing data analysis skills for operational enhancements.
• Familiarity with freight forwarding, 3PL providers, demand planning, pricing strategies, and sourcing methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with shipping & receiving procedures, order fulfillment processes, materials management, and packaging operations.
• Ability to operate or oversee forklift operations; warehouse experience is essential.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration across departments and external partners.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration or related field preferred; relevant certifications are a plus.
