About
- Repairing and Maintaining Mechanical Equipment — Servicing, repairing, adjusting, and testing machines, devices, moving parts, and equipment that operate primarily on the basis of mechanical (not electronic) principles.
- Repairing and Maintaining Electronic Equipment — Servicing, repairing, calibrating, regulating, fine-tuning, or testing machines, devices, and equipment that operate primarily on the basis of electrical or electronic (not mechanical) principles.
- Communication - Making Decisions and Solving Problems — Analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems. Interact with customers, GC's and / or business owners – exchange information in a professional manner. Work well under pressure, with ability to comfort disgruntled customers, etc as needed.
- Performing General Physical Activities — Performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials.
- Handling and Moving Objects — Using hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials, and manipulating things.
- Problem Sensitivity — The ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong. It does not involve solving the problem, only recognizing there is a problem.

Position Qualifications:
- Good physical conditions (fit for duty) - able to lift, climb, bend, reach, walk, stand, stoop coupled with fine manipulation.
- Mechanical aptitude – able to travel as needed
- On call rotation – schedule provided (after hours as needed). Must be available, fit for duty at all times.
- Hold Mechanics credentials – Minimum 5 years in the trade with elevator license (ability to obtain within 6 months of hire).
- Successful completion of 4 year apprenticeship program preferred
Education: A High School Diploma, or equivalent, College level courses associated with electronics, physics, and mathematics may be helpful due to the complexity of elevators.
