Job Summary
The Clinical Services Manager is responsible for overseeing clinical operations, ensuring high-quality patient care, regulatory compliance, and effective coordination among clinical staff. This role provides leadership to nurses and therapists while ensuring compliance with state, federal, and accreditation standards in a home health/VNA setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily clinical operations and ensure delivery of safe, effective, and compliant patient care
- Supervise, mentor, and support clinical staff (RNs, LPNs, PTs, OTs, STs, HHAs)
- Ensure compliance with CMS, Medicare, Medicaid, OASIS, and Massachusetts VNA regulations
- Review and approve care plans, clinical documentation, and OASIS submissions
- Monitor quality metrics, patient outcomes, and performance improvement initiatives
- Coordinate with intake, scheduling, and administrative teams to ensure efficient care delivery
- Conduct clinical audits, chart reviews, and competency evaluations
- Address patient and family concerns and ensure high patient satisfaction
- Participate in staff onboarding, training, and continuing education
- Support accreditation surveys and regulatory inspections
Qualifications & Requirements
- Active RN license (required)
- Minimum 3–5 years of home health/VNA clinical experience
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of OASIS, Medicare guidelines, and home health regulations
- Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills
- Proficient in EMR/EHR systems
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Preferred Skills
- Experience with quality assurance and performance improvement
- Strong clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lead and motivate multidisciplinary teams
- Knowledge of Massachusetts home care regulations (preferred)
