Join our expanding logistics network as a Distribution Center Associate at our Columbus, Ohio location. We are seeking energetic and reliable individuals to perform a variety of tasks that are essential to the smooth operation of our distribution center. This role is multifaceted, involving receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and shipping of goods. Your contribution is vital to ensuring that our customers receive their orders accurately and on time. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, the ability to work effectively in a team, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and organized work environment. You'll be part of a dynamic team focused on efficiency and excellence in logistics.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders.
- Sort and stock merchandise accurately into designated warehouse locations.
- Pick and pack orders with precision and speed.
- Prepare shipments for outbound delivery, ensuring proper labeling and packaging.
- Operate pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, adhering to all safety standards and the use of required PPE.
- Participate in inventory counts and cycle counts to ensure accuracy.
- Follow all established logistics procedures and guidelines.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned by management.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous warehouse or distribution center experience is a plus.
- Ability to perform lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours as needed.
- Understanding of general safety practices in a logistics setting.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and task completion.
