About
We are hiring a skilled Forklift Operator for our key logistics hub in Dallas, Texas. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts to move, locate, stack, and retrieve materials within our warehouse. This role is crucial for maintaining the flow of goods, ensuring accuracy in inventory management, and supporting overall operational efficiency. You will work in a dynamic environment, handling a variety of products and adhering to stringent safety protocols. We are looking for individuals who are safety-conscious, possess excellent operational skills, and are committed to contributing to a productive team.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) safely and efficiently to move inventory.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring all goods are handled with care and secured properly.
- Accurately stack, store, and retrieve materials in designated warehouse locations.
- Conduct daily inspections of forklift equipment, reporting any maintenance needs immediately.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory control activities, such as cycle counts and stock rotation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, ensuring clear pathways.
- Collaborate with warehouse team members and supervisors to meet operational goals and deadlines within the logistics operations.
- Follow all specific lifting and handling guidelines for different types of materials.
- Ensure all movements and operations comply with established safety standards.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift certification and proven experience operating forklifts.
- Proficiency in navigating warehouse environments and managing inventory movements.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety best practices and regulations.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Knowledge of logistics and inventory management principles is beneficial.
- Commitment to workplace safety and consistent use of PPE.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic are essential.
