We are hiring a Material Handler to manage the movement and organization of goods within our state-of-the-art warehouse. This role is fundamental to our logistics operations, ensuring that materials are processed, stored, and delivered efficiently and safely. You will be responsible for receiving, unpacking, stocking, and preparing materials for shipment. This position demands physical dexterity, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to workplace safety. We expect our Material Handlers to be proactive in maintaining an orderly warehouse environment and contributing to the overall success of our supply chain.
Responsibilities:
- Receive incoming shipments, verify contents against purchase orders, and inspect for damage.
- Unpack, sort, and tag materials as required for inventory management.
- Transport materials to and from designated storage areas using appropriate equipment.
- Stock shelves and storage locations accurately, ensuring proper rotation of inventory.
- Prepare materials for outgoing shipments, including picking, packing, and staging.
- Operate pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other material handling equipment safely.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, following all company guidelines.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Participate in inventory counts and assist with stocktaking as needed.
- Understand and follow all lifting guidelines and safe material handling practices specific to diverse products within our logistics network.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience as a material handler or in a warehouse environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment and inventory systems is a plus.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to all regulations, including PPE usage.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Reliability and punctuality are essential.
