Operating various types of forklifts, you will ensure timely loading and unloading of trucks, accurate placement of inventory, and support for all warehouse operations. This position demands precision, awareness, and a strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures. The role involves significant Lifting and maneuvering of goods. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload merchandise from trucks and trailers.
- Move materials to and from production, storage, and loading areas.
- Stack and unstack pallets and materials.
- Perform routine inspections of forklifts and report any issues.
- Maintain an organized and clean work area.
- Adhere to all Safety guidelines and company policies.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts.
- Follow instructions from supervisors and collaborate with warehouse staff.
- Ensure proper handling and care of all goods, minimizing damage.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification (e.g., OSHA).
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts.
- Demonstrated knowledge of warehouse Safety procedures.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional Lifting.
- Strong spatial awareness and hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to read and interpret load labels and shipping documents.
- Must wear required PPE, including safety shoes and vests.
- Experience with logistics and inventory management systems is a plus.
