Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and analytical Inventory Control Specialist to join our logistics team in Baltimore, Maryland. In this critical role, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. Your duties will include conducting regular cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, managing inventory adjustments, and ensuring that our inventory system reflects the actual stock on hand. This position requires a keen eye for detail, strong problem-solving skills, and a thorough understanding of warehouse management principles. The ideal candidate will be proficient in using inventory management software and possess excellent analytical abilities. You will work closely with warehouse staff and management to implement and improve inventory control procedures, ensuring the efficiency of our logistics operations. This role requires accuracy in data entry and the ability to work independently. While primarily analytical, occasional physical tasks, including moderate Lifting, may be involved. We are dedicated to a safe work environment, and all employees must strictly adhere to safety protocols, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Responsibilities:
  • Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly.
  • Manage and process inventory adjustments and transfers.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records in the WMS (Warehouse Management System).
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
  • Develop and implement inventory control procedures.
  • Coordinate with receiving, shipping, and operations teams.
  • Ensure compliance with all inventory policies and procedures.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in inventory control or warehouse management.
  • Proficiency with WMS software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and the use of PPE.
