We are seeking an experienced and organized Warehouse Coordinator to join our team in Baltimore, Maryland. This pivotal role involves overseeing and coordinating daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping activities. You will ensure the efficient flow of goods, manage inventory levels, optimize space utilization, and lead a team of warehouse associates. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in warehouse management, excellent leadership skills, and a deep understanding of logistics operations. A steadfast commitment to safety , adherence to procedures, and ensuring proper use of PPE are critical. This position requires problem-solving abilities and the capacity to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate all daily warehouse activities to ensure operational efficiency.
- Manage inventory levels, conduct regular audits, and resolve discrepancies.
- Oversee the accurate receiving, storing, and dispatching of goods.
- Optimize warehouse layout and space utilization for maximum efficiency.
- Lead, train, and motivate warehouse staff to achieve performance goals.
- Implement and enforce all company safety policies and procedures, ensuring proper use of PPE .
- Monitor and manage equipment maintenance and warehouse upkeep.
- Coordinate with transportation and other departments to ensure smooth supply chain flow.
- Analyze operational data to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
- Manage shipping and receiving schedules and communicate with carriers.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company standards.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in a warehouse supervisory or coordination role (3+ years).
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control principles.
- Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent understanding of logistics operations and supply chain best practices.
- Proficiency in problem-solving and decision-making.
- Ability to perform tasks involving moderate physical activity and occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and compliant work environment.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
