Job Summary:
We are hiring a diligent Material Handler to join our state-of-the-art facility in Salt Lake City, Utah. In this role, you will be responsible for the movement of materials throughout the warehouse, ensuring that inventory is safely and efficiently transported to its designated locations. Your efforts are crucial to maintaining smooth warehouse operations and supporting our overall logistics chain. You will operate various types of equipment to move and organize stock, contributing directly to order fulfillment and inventory accuracy. A strong emphasis is placed on safety, and you will be required to adhere to all guidelines, including the consistent use of mandated PPE. Responsibilities:
  • Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
  • Load and unload materials from trucks and other conveyances.
  • Transport materials to and from designated storage areas.
  • Organize and stack materials in an orderly manner.
  • Perform routine checks on equipment to ensure operational safety and functionality.
  • Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, free from hazards.
  • Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and procedures, including wearing required PPE.
  • Identify and report any damaged materials or equipment malfunctions.
  • Support the broader logistics team in daily warehouse operations.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
  • Valid forklift operator certification is a plus.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects, up to 50 lbs.
  • Familiarity with warehouse safety standards and procedures.
  • Must be able to wear and use required PPE effectively.
  • Strong understanding of inventory management and logistics principles.
  • Good physical stamina and manual dexterity.
  • Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
