Pediatric Speech Lab is looking for an experienced Speech and Language Pathologist to join our team! This individual must be able to supervise clinicians.
*Position Summary:*
The Speech and Language Pathologist shall evaluate and provide services to patients with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders. The Speech and Language Pathologist shall administer standardized tests to accurately diagnose communication disorders, document treatment plans, and report patient progress. This role shall work in collaboration with the program supervisor, board-certified behavior analysts, and speech therapists.
* SLP will be responsible for working 30-33 billable hours per week and 7-10 non billable hours per week.
* SLP will be required to work 3 in-office & 2 telehealth days per week.
*Job Responsibilities:*
* Provide treatment home-based, school-based, and clinic-based support
* Maintain client confidentiality, understand, and adhere to HIPAA regulatory laws, rules, regulations, and policies
* Adhere to Pediatric Speech Lab policies, processes, procedures, and best practices
* Communicate appropriately and effectively with team members and families as needed
* Consistently implement standardized tests for diagnosis of communication disorders with reliability (under SLP’s direction) and prepare program goals and milestones for patients
* Develop therapy and treatment plans for speech disorders
* Participate in counseling sessions and meetings
* Stay abreast of new and changing therapies within the Speech Pathology industry
* Make a continual effort to advance, competencies, knowledge, skills, and abilities through continuing education, training, advanced degrees, certifications, and other related opportunities
* Other duties as assigned
*Skills/Qualifications:*
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to manage difficult situations with patience, empathy, and calmness.
* Effective time management/multitasking skills.
* Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information.
* Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with clients, colleagues, supervisors, and community members.
* Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
* Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents such as policies, procedures, manuals, and other various SLP periodicals.
*Education/Experience:*
* Associates degree in Speech Pathology, communication or related field. Bachelors degree preferred.
* Previous experience working in speech pathology is preferred.
* License in the state of Maryland.
* Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
