Coachella Valley Unified School District covers more than 1,200 square miles of mostly rural desert terrain, serving the communities of Coachella, Thermal, Mecca, Oasis, Indio, and the Salton Sea. The district currently operates fourteen elementary schools, three middle schools, three comprehensive high schools, one continuation high school, and one adult school. Job Summary
Job Summary
Under the direct supervision of the superintendent or designee, the principal serves as the educational leader within the school. The Principal oversees the implementation and evaluation of instructional and operational programs, student and staff supervision, program improvement, student achievement, and community relations. The Principal manages all affairs of the school within District policy and procedures, ensures a safe, secure and appropriate learning environment is provided for all students, including pre-school, and that every student enrolled has an equal opportunity to study, learn and graduate.

Education: Master's Degree from an accredited institution of higher learning preferred; advanced study in a field of elementary education including the areas of administrative, supervision and curriculum development. 3. Valid California Teacher Credential 4. Valid California Administrative Credential
