Position: Parts & Service Manager
Reports To: General Manager
Position Overview
The Parts & Service Manager is responsible for leading the daily operations of the SR1 Trailers parts department and service shop. This role ensures that customers receive fast, accurate, and professional service while keeping technicians supported, parts flowing, and the shop running efficiently. The Parts & Service Manager drives communication between sales, service, and customers to create a seamless experience from drop-off to pick-up.
Key Responsibilities (not limited to):
Leadership & Team Management
● Leadership, Management, and Accountability (LMA) for Parts and Service teams, ensuring all team members have the tools and knowledge to perform at a high level.
● Provide clear expectations, feedback, and coaching to maintain a positive and accountable
culture.
● Oversee daily staffing, scheduling, and workflow to keep operations efficient.
● Be the go-to person - make decisions, communicate clearly, and own every outcome.
● Perform annual reviews for all Parts & Service staff.
● Ensure team members are fully aligned with company values.
Service Operations
● Manage the intake process for trailer service jobs, including diagnostics, repair estimates,
approvals, and timelines.
● Assign work to technicians based on skill, workload, and priority.
● Ensure quality control on all completed work and confirm units leave the shop clean, safe, and ready for the customer.
● Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment.
Parts Department Management
● Oversee all parts ordering, receiving, stocking, and inventory management.
● Work closely with technicians to source and provide parts accurately and on time.
● Support retail parts sales by helping customers identify the correct parts and providing
outstanding service at the counter.
● Maintain accurate inventory counts, minimize shrinkage, and monitor fast-moving parts.
Customer Experience
● Serve as the main point of contact for service and parts customers.
● Communicate clearly regarding timelines, estimates, job status, and any changes required along the way.
● Handle any customer concerns quickly and professionally.
● Ensure every customer interaction reflects SR1's values of urgency, honesty, and taking care of people.
Administrative & Compliance
● Oversee work orders, estimates, purchase orders, and invoicing to ensure accuracy and timely completion.
● Track technician productivity and shop performance metrics.
● Follow all safety protocols, OSHA expectations, and company policies.
● Collaborate with the GM and Fixed Operations Director on parts cost, margins, inventory levels, and reporting.
Qualifications
● Prior experience in a service, parts, or dealership environment preferred.
● Strong leadership and communication skills.
● Ability to multitask, prioritize, and stay calm under pressure.
● Basic mechanical knowledge of trailers, towing components, brakes, axles, and electrical
systems is a plus.
● Comfortable using DMS systems, scheduling tools, and digital communication.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55, $75,000.00 per year
