Housekeeping Supervisor/Inspector

Job Summary
The Housekeeping Supervisor plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of the facility. This position is responsible for overseeing housekeeping staff, ensuring that all areas are cleaned to the highest standards, and managing daily operations within the housekeeping department. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a commitment to providing exceptional service in a hospitality environment.

Duties

• Supervise and coordinate daily housekeeping operations, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
• Train, mentor, and evaluate housekeeping staff to maintain high standards of cleanliness and service.
• Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure compliance with cleanliness standards.
• Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders as necessary to maintain adequate stock levels.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and guest satisfaction.
• Address any guest concerns or complaints regarding cleanliness in a prompt and professional manner.
• Implement best practices for commercial cleaning and custodial services within the facility.
• Maintain accurate records of housekeeping activities, including staff schedules and performance evaluations.

Skills

• Proven experience in commercial cleaning or housekeeping management within a hotel or hospitality setting.
• Strong supervisory skills with the ability to lead a team effectively.
• Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and safety protocols.
• Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with staff and guests.
• Familiarity with laundry processes and equipment is an advantage.
