Anderson Electric Group is a growing electrical contracting company serving Middle Tennessee. We specialize in commercial, industrial, and residential projects, and we are looking for an experienced Electrical Estimator to join our team. This role is central to our growth and long-term success.
Job Summary
The Electrical Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate, competitive bid proposals, reviewing plans and specifications, performing detailed material and labor takeoffs, communicating with vendors and general contractors, and supporting project handoff after award.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform detailed electrical takeoffs for commercial and industrial projects
- Review drawings, specifications, and RFP documents for scope accuracy
- Prepare material lists, labor estimates, and bid proposals
- Collaborate with project managers on scope reviews and handoffs
- Request and organize vendor/subcontractor pricing
- Attend pre-bid meetings when required
- Maintain organized bid documentation and tracking
- Support improvements to estimating procedures and standards
Qualifications
- 5–10 years of electrical estimating experience preferred
- Strong understanding of NEC, commercial/industrial electrical systems, and construction practices
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents
- Accubid estimating software experience strongly preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills
- Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines
