Where You'll Work

This position is based in our Washington, D.C. office. We leverage a hybrid working model working three days in the office, two days optional remote work.

What You'll Do
The Quality Project Management and Program Design Specialist plays a pivotal role in supporting the successful operations, planning, and execution, of quality improvement (QI) programs and projects. This role combines strong project management proficiency with instructional design expertise to support the delivery of high-impact, learner-centered content for healthcare audiences. The specialist works collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external partners to ensure timely and successful execution of improvement collaboratives, workshops, and events, both virtual and in-person, that align with organizational goals and meet the needs of diverse participants.

  • Develops and manages detailed project plans, timelines, milestones, and workstreams across multiple concurrent programs, coordinating internal and external partners to ensure smooth execution.
  • Monitors progress, manages risks, resolves issues, and uses project management tools to maintain alignment, clarity, and momentum.
  • Serves as a primary contact for participating hospitals and stakeholders, providing timely support and maintaining positive relationships.
  • Plans, coordinates, and executes meetings and events, including logistics, materials, agendas, CEU submissions, and post-event follow-up in collaboration with internal teams.
  • Supports program design by structuring workshops and meetings, applying adult learning principles, and elevating content quality in partnership with consultants and faculty.
  • Continuously improves the member experience by leveraging participant feedback, engagement metrics, and best practices across programs and events.
  • Tracks key participation and engagement metrics and contributes to reports, dashboards, and presentations that highlight program outcomes and impact.

Experience and Skills:

What You'll Bring to CHA

Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge is qualifying.

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Public Health, Education, Healthcare Administration, Communications); Master's degree preferred.
  • Ability to travel up to 30%

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent experience in managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in project management, instructional design, or program coordination within a healthcare or nonprofit setting.
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles and experience applying them in content and program design.
  • Demonstrated ability to create professional and engaging visual content, particularly in PowerPoint or other design tools.
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, collaborative, and cross-functional environments.
  • Proficiency with virtual learning platforms (e.g., Zoom, Microsoft Teams, WebEx) and learning management systems.

  • Familiarity with CEU processes and virtual/in-person event coordination is preferred.

  • Experience in healthcare quality improvement, clinical program delivery, or healthcare education is a plus.
  • Familiarity with quality improvement methodologies (e.g., PDSA cycles, Lean, Six Sigma) is preferred
  • Knowledge of data visualization tools and principles for reporting outcomes is a plus.
