Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all aspects of kitchen operations, including food production, food service management, and catering activities
- Develop creative menus that align with brand standards and customer preferences, incorporating dietary considerations and trending culinary techniques
- Supervise kitchen staff, including hiring, training, scheduling shifts, and performance evaluations to ensure a cohesive team environment
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and sanitation standards across all food handling and preparation processes
- Oversee inventory management and control to minimize waste, optimize stock levels, and ensure cost-effective purchasing decisions
- Coordinate banquet services and special events by ensuring timely preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes
- Monitor kitchen workflow to ensure efficiency during peak hours while maintaining exceptional quality standards
Skills
- Extensive culinary experience with a strong background in fine dining, catering, and restaurant management
- Proven supervisory experience leading diverse kitchen teams in fast-paced environments
- Knowledge of dietary requirements and ability to incorporate them into menu planning and food preparation
- Expertise in inventory control, food safety protocols, and food handling procedures
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate staff and foster a positive team culture
- Excellent organizational skills for shift management, inventory management, and operational oversight
- Familiarity with food industry trends, food production techniques, and hospitality standards
- Experience in banquet service, event catering, and managing large-scale food service operations
- Competence in managing kitchen budgets, controlling costs, and optimizing resource utilization
- Ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and quality in all aspects of kitchen management
