Job Summary:
Seeking a meticulous Inventory Control Specialist for our Grand Rapids, Michigan location. This position is central to maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory, which is crucial for efficient logistics and operational success. Your responsibilities will include conducting thorough cycle counts, reconciling inventory discrepancies, analyzing stock data, and implementing robust inventory control procedures. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical abilities, exceptional attention to detail, and a solid understanding of warehouse operations and inventory management systems. Experience with WMS software is highly desirable. This is a key role for ensuring product availability and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and full physical inventory audits to maintain accuracy.
  • Investigate and resolve all inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes.
  • Develop and implement effective inventory control strategies and procedures.
  • Monitor inventory levels, track stock movements, and ensure proper stock rotation.
  • Process inventory adjustments, transfers, and receipts within the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Generate reports on inventory status, accuracy, and potential issues.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and secure inventory storage area.
  • Collaborate with operations and logistics teams to optimize inventory flow.
  • Ensure compliance with all company safety policies and the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in inventory management.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; further education is a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience in inventory control, stock management, or a related warehouse role.
  • Proficiency in using WMS software and other inventory tracking tools.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and quantitative skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional Lifting of items.
  • Knowledge of warehouse logistics and supply chain principles.
  • Dedication to maintaining a safe and orderly workplace.
