We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Warehouse Supervisor to lead our team in the bustling New York City, New York area. As a Warehouse Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing daily operations, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and the highest standards of Safety within our logistics facility. Your responsibilities will include managing a team of warehouse associates, coordinating workflow, optimizing inventory management, and enforcing all Safety protocols, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This leadership position requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of warehouse management systems and best practices in logistics. The role involves ensuring tasks are completed effectively, which may include overseeing tasks that require moderate Lifting. Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of warehouse staff.
- Manage inventory levels, stock rotation, and order fulfillment processes.
- Ensure adherence to all Safety regulations and company policies.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate warehouse associates.
- Optimize warehouse layout and workflows for maximum efficiency.
- Oversee the receiving and dispatching of goods.
- Implement and enforce Safety procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Conduct regular Safety inspections and address any potential hazards.
- Manage operational budgets and resource allocation.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in warehouse supervision or a similar leadership role.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations, logistics, and supply chain management.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of inventory management systems and warehouse equipment.
- Demonstrated commitment to Safety and regulatory compliance.
- Ability to effectively manage and motivate a team.
- Proficiency in problem-solving and decision-making.
- Must be able to enforce adherence to Safety protocols and PPE usage.
- Experience with tasks involving moderate Lifting and material handling.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
