Are you detail-oriented and seeking a rewarding role in logistics? We are hiring an Order Picker for our busy facility in Boston, Massachusetts. In this critical position, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently retrieving items from warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders. Your precision in picking the correct items and quantities directly impacts our customer satisfaction and the efficiency of our entire supply chain. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse layouts, order fulfillment processes, and a commitment to maintaining a high level of accuracy. Safety is paramount; you will be required to adhere to all warehouse Safety protocols and utilize appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times. The job involves significant movement throughout the warehouse and requires the ability to perform moderate Lifting. Experience with order picking systems is a plus, but we are also keen to train motivated individuals who are eager to learn and contribute. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves according to order lists.
- Verify product codes and quantities to ensure order accuracy.
- Pack picked items securely for shipment.
- Operate hand-held scanners and warehouse equipment as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all Safety procedures and guidelines.
- Assist with inventory management and stock checks.
- Report any discrepancies or issues with orders to supervisors.
- Meet established picking quotas and performance standards.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a warehouse environment is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret pick lists and product labels.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform moderate Lifting and bending.
- Familiarity with warehouse Safety practices.
- Willingness to wear required PPE.
- Good physical stamina and the ability to be on your feet for extended periods.
- Basic understanding of logistics and inventory control is a plus.
