We are seeking a meticulous and efficient Order Picker to join our warehouse team in Grand Rapids, Michigan. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for accurately gathering products from warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders. This role is critical to our **Logistics** operations, ensuring that the right items are picked, verified, and prepared for shipment, directly impacting customer satisfaction. You will work in a dynamic environment, utilizing scanning technology and following specific picking procedures. A strong commitment to accuracy, speed, and **Safety** is essential. Responsibilities:
- Locate and retrieve products from warehouse storage locations using pick lists or RF scanners.
- Verify picked items against order details to ensure accuracy.
- Inspect items for damage before staging for packing or shipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring aisles are clear and product is stored correctly.
- Operate pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment as needed.
- Adhere to all company **Safety** policies and procedures, including the use of **PPE**.
- Meet established quotas for order picking speed and accuracy.
- Report any inventory discrepancies or issues to supervisors promptly.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of our **Logistics** and fulfillment processes.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an Order Picker or in a similar warehouse role is an advantage.
- Ability to read and understand product labels and order information.
- Basic math skills for counting.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
- Must be capable of **Lifting** up to 40 lbs.
- Willingness to comply with all **Safety** regulations and wear necessary **PPE**.
- Familiarity with warehouse **Logistics** systems is a plus.
