Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, electric) to move, load, unload, and stack materials.
- Perform pre-operation inspections on forklifts and report any maintenance issues.
- Safely transport goods from receiving to storage areas, and from storage to shipping docks.
- Assist with order picking and put-away processes as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring clear pathways.
- Adhere strictly to all Safety regulations and company policies regarding forklift operation.
- Use appropriate PPE, including safety shoes, vests, and hard hats when required.
- Collaborate with other warehouse staff to ensure efficient logistics flow.
- Support inventory management through accurate movement and placement of goods.
- Occasional manual Lifting may be required for items outside forklift reach.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification (e.g., OSHA compliant).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Proven ability to operate various types of forklifts safely and efficiently.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Knowledge of Safety procedures and best practices for forklift operation.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial reasoning skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical ability to perform occasional manual Lifting and to stand for extended periods.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong commitment to Safety.
