We are seeking a skilled and reliable Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team in Charlotte, North Carolina. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for operating forklifts safely and efficiently to move, load, unload, and stack materials within our warehouse. Your attention to detail and commitment to safety will be crucial in ensuring smooth warehouse operations and maintaining inventory accuracy. This role is vital to our overall logistics network, ensuring timely movement of goods.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) in a safe and efficient manner to transport materials.
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers.
- Stack and arrange inventory in designated areas, ensuring proper placement and organization.
- Conduct daily pre-operation checks on forklifts to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
- Assist with inventory counts and maintain accurate records of received and shipped goods.
- Follow all safety regulations and procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator with a valid certification.
- Proficiency in operating various types of forklifts.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including occasional overtime.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems is a plus.
- Experience in logistics or supply chain environments is preferred.
