Seeking a meticulous Order Picker for our Sacramento, California facility. This role is essential for our efficient logistics chain, ensuring that customer orders are accurately and promptly fulfilled. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for locating and retrieving specific items from warehouse shelves, preparing them for packing and shipment. Your accuracy and speed will directly impact customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. You will work in a dynamic warehouse setting, requiring focus and physical capability. The position involves regular lifting and movement throughout the day. We are committed to providing a safe working environment and expect all team members to strictly follow all safety regulations, including the mandatory use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Responsibilities:
- Accurately identify and pick items from designated warehouse locations using order lists and scanning devices.
- Transport picked items to packing stations efficiently and safely.
- Verify the accuracy of picked items against order requirements.
- Assist in maintaining inventory accuracy through diligent picking practices.
- Keep picking areas organized and clean.
- Operate electric pallet jacks and other material handling equipment as needed.
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines, including the correct use of PPE.
- Report any stock discrepancies or damages immediately.
- Contribute to a team effort to meet daily picking quotas and deadlines.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability for consistent lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment.
- Ability to read and understand pick lists and product labels.
- Capacity to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Must be able to stand, walk, reach, and bend for extended periods.
- Commitment to workplace safety and the use of PPE.
- Reliable and punctual attendance.
- Basic understanding of inventory control principles.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics is a plus.
