In this crucial role, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of warehouse machinery and equipment, ensuring the smooth and safe operation of our logistics hub. Your expertise will directly impact operational efficiency and minimize downtime. You will work with a variety of systems and tools, requiring a strong technical aptitude and a commitment to safety. Adherence to all safety protocols, including the proper use of PPE, is critical. Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, conveyors, and automated systems.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues.
- Ensure all equipment is functioning safely and efficiently, adhering to manufacturer specifications.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and company policies, including the correct use of PPE.
- Operate machinery and equipment safely during maintenance and testing.
- Identify potential equipment failures and implement preventative maintenance strategies.
- Assist in the installation and setup of new equipment.
- Collaborate with warehouse operations staff to minimize disruption during repairs.
- Stay current with technological advancements in warehouse equipment and logistics automation.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Technical certification in a relevant field is a plus.
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician, preferably in a warehouse or industrial setting.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints.
- Experience with forklifts and other material handling equipment maintenance.
- Thorough understanding of industrial safety standards and the use of PPE.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in physically demanding conditions.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Knowledge of logistics and warehouse operations is beneficial.
