The role involves overseeing and managing the quality of all electrical works on site, ensuring installations meet design requirements, industry standards, safety regulations, and client expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and manage Electrical QA/QC plans, ITPs, and quality procedures
Oversee quality assurance of all electrical installations across commercial and residential areas
Review and approve electrical drawings, specifications, method statements, and material submittals
Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with:
Project specifications
British Standards / IEC / IET Wiring Regulations
Client and consultant requirements
Identify non-conformances (NCRs), lead corrective actions, and verify close‑out
Review inspection, testing, and commissioning documentation
Coordinate with:
Electrical supervisors and subcontractors
Project managers, site managers, and other trade leads
Clients, consultants, and inspectors
Monitor quality‑related risks, progress, and handover readiness
Support snagging, defect resolution, and final handover documentation
Maintain accurate QA records, reports, and quality logs
Promote a strong quality and compliance culture on site
Required Qualifications & Skills
Minimum 3+ years' experience in an Electrical QA / QC or Quality Management role
Proven experience on commercial and/or residential construction projects
Strong knowledge of electrical standards, testing, and commissioning processes
Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
ECS Gold Card (or equivalent)
SSSTS or SMSTS
Excellent communication, reporting, and leadership skills
Full UK Driving Licence
