Are you a Mechanical Design Engineer who loves solving complex problems and bringing bespoke machinery to life? This is a fantastic opportunity to join a stable, long–standing engineering company where you'll work on genuinely interesting projects from concept through to completion.
My client is expanding due to continued growth and is looking for a hands–on, creative engineer to join their close–knit design team.
What You'll Be Doing
Designing mechanical components, assemblies, and mechanisms for custom–built machinery
Taking ownership of projects from initial concept through to production, installation, and after–support
Working closely with electrical and automation engineers to deliver fully integrated solutions
Producing high–quality 3D CAD models and drawings (SolidWorks)
Supporting continuous improvement, product development, and innovation
Providing practical engineering input throughout the full lifecycle
What We're Looking For
Experience in mechanical design for special purpose machinery, automation, robotics, or industrial equipment
Strong 3D CAD skills (SolidWorks preferred, but similar packages considered)
Confident working on bespoke, one–off or low–volume engineered solutions
Able to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities
A collaborative mindset with excellent attention to detail
