Ready to Make an Impact? Join WSP's Archaeology team as an Intermediate Archaeologist, contributing to meaningful projects across Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Northwest Territories, and Nunavut. In this role, you'll apply your experience to advance heritage management and archaeological practice in diverse regions. You'll take on significant project responsibilities while collaborating with senior experts, growing your expertise and positioning yourself for future leadership opportunities Your Impact
  • Conduct and coordinate archaeological assessments in compliance with provincial/territorial heritage acts and federal policies.
  • Deliver accurate proposals and reports that inform client decisions and regulatory compliance.
  • Support project management activities, including scope, budgets, schedules, and quality control.
  • Champion WSP's Safety First culture in all field and office activities.
  • Mentor junior staff and foster a collaborative, supportive team environment.
  • Engage respectfully with Indigenous communities and stakeholders, ensuring meaningful consultation.
  • Analyze and interpret archaeological data to provide actionable insights for clients.
  • Contribute to practice improvements and innovation within the archaeology team.
  • The Skills That Set You Apart
  • Eligible for professional licensing or permits to conduct archaeological fieldwork in one or more of Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, NWT, or Nunavut.
  • 5–10 years of consulting archaeology experience in the Prairies and/or Northern Canada.
  • Expertise in excavation, survey methods, artifact analysis, and report writing.
  • Experience leading field teams and mentoring junior archaeologists.
  • Familiarity with provincial/territorial standards and ethical heritage management practices.
  • Ability to obtain Provincial and Federal Security Clearance as required.
  • Valid Canadian driver's license for travel to field sites.
  • Membership or eligibility for CAHP is an asset.

    Compensation
    BC, AB, SK, NWT & NT: $76,100 - $102,200 
    MB & ON: $69,400 - $96,900 
    Atlantic Provinces & QC: $68,700 - $92,500 Disclosure:
    The final salary awarded for this role may vary from the above range based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
