About
Position Overview: The Assembler is responsible for quality workmanship with assemblies work as assigned for sub-assemblies and main assemblies.
Days of work: Monday - Friday, 6 am - 230 pm
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Apply thread sealant and Loctite to threaded fittings and pipe.
- Follow proper detailing procedure/work instructions.
- Proper use of the sandblaster.
- Drill and tap holes
- Read a tape measure to the closest 1/16".
- Fill out applicable check sheets.
- Ensure quality of work by showing an eye for detail.
- Clock in and out of work orders and report completed work to Foreman.
- Ensure materials are properly tracked and allocated to each job for costing purposes.
- Other duties as required.
- Grade 12 and some manufacturing experience preferred.
- Can read and interpret production drawings.
- Good mechanical skills with and ability to use basic hand tools (drill, tape measure, etc.)
- Trained on thread engagement work instructions.
- Ability to read a tape measure to the closest 1/16"knowledge of equipment, tools, and mechanical devices used for assemblies.
- Uses safe lifting and handling techniques.
- Positive team player, dependable and highly motivated.
- Has a willingness to learn.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Full range of motion required. Push, pull, bend, stand, twist, reach/work overhead, get into and underneath equipment.
- Able to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to read, write and comprehend instructions in English.
- Proficient with entering data into a computer program.
- Possess a valid driver's license.
